Salvador, located on the Todos os Santos Bay, is the capital of the state of Bahia, Brazil. There are numerous terreiros, temples of the widely practiced Candomblé religion of African origin, scattered throughout the city. Most terreiros will permit visitors to attend their ceremonies.
